About Us
After completing college and serving on active duty in the US Army, in 1997, Derek entered the insurance industry. In 2017, he and his wife, Beth, acquired the Jordan location of Insurance Brokers of MN, Inc. Throughout his career, Derek has earned prestigious industry and corporate awards, including MDRT, the National Quality Award, and Manager of the Year. In addition to his client-focused approach, Derek has held various leadership roles in recruiting, training, sales, and development.
Outside of work, Derek enjoys spending time with family and friends, the great outdoors, travelling, and attending River Valley Church. He is a member of the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans (DAV), and the Jordan Commercial Club. He is currently serving as a commissioner on the City of Jordan Economic and Development Authority Board.
Born and raised on a farm in rural Glenville, MN, Beth went on to attend Bemidji State and attained a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from St. Cloud State. After spending 11 years as a school counselor, a new opportunity to work in the insurance industry alongside her husband came up and decided the time was right for an exciting new challenge. Beth will continue to use her background and passion for counseling by helping clients with their insurance needs. Beth enjoys fishing, traveling, and going to Minnesota sporting events. You will also find her spending time with family and friends and doing fitness activities. Beth is a member of the Jordan Commercial Club, Chamber of Commerce, and the American Legion Auxiliary.
After 15 years in Retail Management, Todd began his insurance career in 2004. In 2018, he joined Insurance Brokers of MN. Originally from Charles City, Iowa, Todd now lives in Shakopee with his wife and 2 daughters. Todd enjoys spending time outdoors hunting and golfing when he is not at a softball field with his daughters coaching or just cheering them on. Todd is a commercial and health specialist with Insurance Brokers of MN. He also has extensive experience servicing his client’s personal insurance needs. Todd is dedicated to providing his clients with exceptional customer service.
Kaylee was born and raised in Prior Lake, Minnesota. After graduating from Prior Lake High School, she attended Minnesota State University- Mankato and Dakota County Technical College exploring the many different career paths. Kaylee worked teaching pre-kindergarten students for 3 years and then decided to pursue her interest of working in insurance and became a licensed insurance agent. She enjoys spending time outdoors, going up north and spending time with friends and family. Kaylee is excited to work with you and assist in your insurance needs.
Born & raised in Shakopee, MN & later relocated to Belle Plaine, MN in 2005 where she currently resides with her husband, Todd. She started her insurance career in 2012 where her outgoing personality, strong customer service & communication skills allow her to form trusting relationships with her clients. Kate joined Insurance Brokers of MN in 2024 and prides herself in educating her clients about the complexities of insurance. Kate is a mother to two adult daughters & absolutely cherishes time spent with family & friends. She is passionate about her MN Vikings & enjoys the outdoors, whether it be sitting around a campfire, boating on the Mississippi river, gardening, or fishing.
